Tukonnectinge Dreamz Foundation is a youth-led, community-based organization in Uganda with a bold and compassionate mission: to uplift underprivileged and at risk populations, entrepreneurs, youth, and refugees living in the ghettos of inner-city communities by equipping them with digital literacy, vocational skills, entrepreneurship training, and creative arts opportunities.
The name Tukonnectinge comes meaning “Let’s connect.” It reflects our purpose to bridge the deep digital divide that exists between Uganda’s underserved communities and the more established urban centers that enjoy modern infrastructure, access to resources, and greater opportunities.
We were born from a dream: a dream to see potential where others see poverty, to hear hope where others hear silence. In the ghettos and refugee settlements, there are countless untold stories of youth with talent, women with brilliant business ideas, and families with incredible resilience. Yet too often, their dreams remain disconnected cut off by lack of financial support, digital access, mentorship, and opportunity.
That’s where Tukonnectinge Dreamz steps in. We don’t just offer skills we offer connection. We connect people to tools, mentors, networks, and belief. We stand with the young dreamers and women entrepreneurs who are ready to rise, but just need someone to reach back and say, “Let’s do this together.”
With over five years of grassroots experience, Umar and his dedicated team have walked shoulder-to-shoulder with the communities they serve. They understand the challenges but more importantly, they see the light in each person they meet. They believe in dreamz and in the power of helping those dreams connect, grow, and soar.
Tukonnectinge Dreamz is more than just a foundation. It’s a promise. A movement. A family. We believe that every person regardless of background, status, or circumstance deserves the chance to dream, and the support to make that dream a reality.

Growing up in a community where crime, poverty, and limited opportunities were common, Nsubuga observed something profound: children with remarkable talents in arts, sports, and academics lacked the support to develop these gifts. The absence of mentorship and resources meant countless dreams went unfulfilled.
One pivotal memory was of a dedicated boxing coach who kept youth off the streets by helping them discover their strengths and build confidence. When this mentor passed away, it left a void that inspired Nsubuga’s vision for creating a space where young people could access the tools and guidance needed to thrive.
The name “Tukonnectinge” encapsulates our core philosophy—building strong connections between individuals, communities, and resources to create lasting change. Through these connections, we work to ensure that no talent goes to waste and no dream is left behind.
Nsubuga Umar is a passionate ICT enthusiast and dedicated community advocate focused on transforming the lives of young people through digital literacy, vocational skills, and the creative arts. Having grown up in a resource-limited environment, Umar understands the barriers that many youths face especially those in Ghetto and refugee communities where talent often goes unnoticed and dreams are easily lost.
With over five years of experience working with vulnerable populations, Umar has witnessed the tragic waste of potential caused by inequality, lack of mentorship, and limited access to opportunity. This experience has fueled his mission: to bridge the gap between privilege and poverty by creating safe spaces where young people can learn, create, and thrive.
Umar envisions the establishment of a youth social center a dynamic hub for digital skills training, vocational development, music, arts, sports, and career guidance. His goal is to empower the next generation to become self-reliant, confident, and impactful members of society.
At the heart of Umar’s work is a simple belief: every young person deserves a chance to dream and the tools to turn that dream into reality.
